Sydney's Supply Lines Shift as Major Projects Hit New Milestones

Sydney Metro West Tunnelling Complete: Fit-Out Phase Begins   

Tunnelling on the 24-kilometre Sydney Metro West line is now complete, concluding a 34-month continuous tunnelling program [10, 13]. The milestone also marks the end of all excavation work across four major Sydney Metro projects, which have collectively produced 128 kilometres of new tunnels since 2014 [10, 11]. Delivered by Endeavour Energy, the network includes a 132 kV digital transmission substation designed to support the 24-hour operations of the 1,780-hectare airport site and the broader 11,000-hectare economic hub [5].
